Analyzing Immune System Responses using Invertible Neural Networks

Exposures too pathogens trigger complex processes that result in the activation of immune cells which facilitate the responses against pathogens. While several mathematical models describe the activation process of immune cell if challenged with an antigen, the reversed question of determining the antigens that gave rise to an activation imposes a mathematically more challenging, however equally interesting question. To address this issue we employ the power of Invertible Neural Networks to find the antigens that gave rise to a complex immune activation landscape.
